designs misleading
Paul Attivissimo
Some of the most common myths of lunar conspiracy theories are due at least in part, paradoxically, to NASA itself. The U.S. space agency, in fact, he published many illustrations dissemination to the public to anticipate the conduct of missions, but took some artistic license to make interesting pictures. These licenses, which introduced in detail virtually non-existent or different, and many were impressed inevitably perplessità quando non furono riscontrate nelle immagini effettive.
Poi c'è il bagliore del getto del motore di discesa, che in realtà there was: hypergolic propellants used, in fact, did not produce a flame or light colored.
The landscape is wrong: the area of the Sea of Tranquility, where Apollo 11 lunar landing has been specified had no mountains like the ones shown. The landing site was chosen because it is extremely flat and therefore easier to deal with this first attempt.
Even the lighting of the car, visible through the windows, it's definitely too much: it would not be visible from that far more intense (in days) of the lunar surface.
At a more technical level, the design is wrong because it shows a probe contact (the vertical bars in the legs) even on the leg on which this is the lineup (the middle leg in the drawing). The auction was originally scheduled on all four legs of the lunar module, but it was decided to remove the one on the leg with a bend in the lineup because during the contact with the lunar soil could take positions or at least dangerous obstacle to the passage the astronauts.
Almost all of these details wrong have a very specific purpose: to make the design interesting and understandable. If the artist had not designed the flame of the engine, for example, many would not understand how he was the lunar module to be suspended in a vacuum. Without the cabin lighting, would not have been possible to show the astronauts and to figure out where to look. The stars and the mountains are used to give detail and depth to the illustration.
Another example is the image S69-39335 , always referred to the Apollo 11 mission, which use many of the same errors: visible flame of the engine, walk-lit mountains, visible stars. Here also, there is no thermal coating film of the golden stage of descent.
lunacomplottisti Unfortunately, many were still at the design and expect reality to conform to art.
