Various sources ( Discovery.com , Space.com , Sydney Morning Herald , Republic), announced that on October 6 will be presented the material seen by the public regarding the televising of the first steps of Neil Armstrong on the moon. I heard this morning via e-mail one of the experts involved in the restoration work already carried out by NASA's Apollo 11 live TV, che mi ha detto che si tratta di quattro minuti che sono già presenti in questo restauro (ancora in attesa di pubblicazione) e mostrano la discesa di Amstrong lungo la scaletta con la qualità con la quale fu ricevuta in Australia, ben superiore a quella trasmessa all'epoca, che proveniva dalla stazione ricevente californiana di Goldstone.
Il confronto è mostrato qui sopra: a sinistra l'immagine ricevuta in California; a destra quella ricevuta in Australia.
